Conversion of the Synergy vehicle is accomplished in a matter of seconds while seated in the cockpit.  Engine power is redirected from the propeller to the rear wheels with a single lever.  The same lever motion connects the nose wheel steering to the yoke and locks the yoke from moving forward and aft.  Finally, the wings are hydraulically un-pinned, folded, and locked using a single switch.  Reversing the process converts Synergy back to flying configuration with equal ease.  A purely mechanical safety latch system retains each and every wing pin to prevent unintentional folding.  Even the application of full hydraulic pressure cannot cause folding or mechanical failure if the latch system is not disengaged.  It is also mechanically impossible to redirect the engine power or flight controls while the engine is running.
